CONGRATULATIONS!
You have taken the first and most important step in your journey to experience the satisfaction of boudoir photography. While each photo session is unique and customized to the individual client, the overall process is organized and controlled to provide a predictable and satisfying result for you.

PRE-SESSION
You are as unique as you are beautiful. No two photo sessions are identical. When you contact Platinum Boudoir with a vision, a timeline, and a goal, you are initiating a process that will result in the capture of the essence of you for enjoyment forever. Don't worry, we will have fun along the way!
After we determine a date for the photo session, we begin discussing wardrobe, scenes, and the desired package and photo products. Clients are encouraged to study the mood board of suggested poses to get a feel for what they will be asked to do and to start practicing. This communication is vital to ensure the session is properly planned and offers the best chance to capture the right poses and vibe.
PHOTO SESSION
On the day of the photoshoot, clients will enjoy professional hair and makeup. Afterwards, the lingerie and wardrobe will be organized so that the flow of the photo session is optimal. The photographer will do a walk through of the locations. Once shooting starts, the client will be able to see visual images of desired poses and will be coached by the photographer.
Posing is hard! Unless you are or have been a professional model, many of the movements may seem unnatural and exaggerated. Trust the process and you will be amazed at the results.
Expect frequent breaks and feedback on posing. Also, be prepared for posing for pictures at different angles and lighting setups to provide the best possible images for your products. The photographer favors Nikon cameras and uses several different LED and non-LED lights with varying sizes of lightboxes to control the light for the desired images.
POST-SESSION
After the photoshoot, Platinum Boudoir will take several days to choose the very best images for you. Generally at least 50 images will be selected and retouched to choose from. Clients will then be able to choose the images they would like as digital images and for inclusion in albums and other physical products.
The photographer uses several different software editing platforms including Photoshop and Portrait Pro. Editing will be done according to client wishes.
Finally, the images are sent to the publisher for creation of albums and other photo products.
The entire process is somewhat lengthy. It is ideal for photoshoots to be planned well in advance of the date that the products are required in-hand. Short timelines are discouraged but possible.
